Gerard Bru has shown extensively, New York, Canada, Germay, Switzerland, England and Scotland as well as Hong Kong.

He began painting in 1960s at the studio of Verchuren “I remember from my youth noting the colour of my toys more than the toys themselves and with Verchuren he showed me the colours, the force of nature and the joy of painting”.

“I left for Paris and moved into abstraction but it was only when I returned to the South of France, that I embraced the art completely. I have always admired the work of Nicolas de Stael, classic modern. A wonderful combination of the figurative and the abstract”
